I’m an experienced designer, who synthesises design thinking & business need to create design work that communicate clearly & powerfully to end-users.
Here’s the process I use to shape & validate my work.
UX is about understanding what users want, need and expect ie: User Centred Design. The UCD process is a framework to help designers build a picture of a website or app that will make it as usable, frictionless as possible and satisfy user tasks.
Research – Typically I will interpret research findings including Personas, Experience Maps, Accessibility, Usability Reports, Competitor analysis etc.
Hypothesis – Collaborating within the project team, I work on journey mapping, sketch ideas, flows, mental models, low to high fi prototypes and user test to get quick feedback.
Agree requirement – Armed with feedback, we seek to align services with the hypothesis or reach a middle ground. Having established agreement, epics, stories will begin to emerge.
Feedback – I conduct guerrilla and remote testing of smaller changes for quick quantitive feedback. External and more thorough user testing is often conducted at the end of six weekly sprints.
